Hole #10 (Par 4)
Description
The hole is a very slight dog-leg left with high grass and water hazards on the left side of the fairway. A straight shot off the tee will be rewarded. Any else puts you in peril of being out-of-bounds on the right or “in the drink” on the left!
Strategy
Blue Tees: Aim between the center of the fairway and the orange marking stake. If you can drive 220 to 230 off the tee, you’ll have an easy wedge shot to get you on the dance floor.
White Tees: Just right of the middle of the fairway gives you an excellent angle to the green.
Red Tees: Aim slightly left of center for the best angle to the green.
Yellow and Orange Tees: Drive you tee shot to the center of the fairway for the best angle to the green.
Hole #11 (Par 3)
Description
This hole can be a bit deceiving since you are able to see the direct hazards from the tee boxes, but have no idea (unless you play the hole often) of the hazards that lurke behind..
Strategy
Blue Tees: A direct attack can either land you on the green on in the sand. Good bunker players have the best of both worlds.
White Tees: Aim between the left edge of the bunker and the left edge of the green to take the sand out of play.
Red, Yellow, and Orange Tees: Aim to the biggest section of the green for the safest shot.
Hole #12 (Par 5)
Description
This slight double-dogleg-left is not for the faint of heart. Long hitters may try to reach the green in two shots, but hazards abound that can be more trouble than reward.
Strategy
Blue Tees: The safe play is to aim toward the mound past the left-side bunker. If you can hug the wetlands on your next shot, you’ve can be on the green in three.
Silver and Green Tees: Same strategy as the Blue Tees.
Yellow Tees: If you’ve got a good, straight shot shot (50 yards or so), you could lay up in front of the wetlands and use your second shot to hit it over (120 yards to clear). If you’re feeling really gutsy, fly a 150-yard tee shot over the trouble and continue from there.
Orange Tees: Tuck your favorite ball into your bag. You’ll need a 60-yard shot to carry the wetlands. Want to play safe? Play from the orange alternate tee that completely takes the wetlands out of play.
